The Fiber-Optic Group is a research group within the Institute of Physics of the Wroclaw University of Technology (WRUT), which is the second largest technical university in Poland. Currently, there are 2 thousand academic employees and 1 thousand PhD students involved in teaching and research conducted at WRUT, covering most engineering and scientific fields. The Fiber-Optic Group is known internationally for its research focused on development, characterization, and applications of specialty fibers and fiber-optic components for sensing and communication purposes.
